Ø If you have a
homeowners warranty you should consider having an inspection a month or two before it expires. If the inspection uncovers
problems which are covered by your warranty, you'll have time to report them and document that they existed before the warranty
expired.
Ø A major problem could cost thousands of dollars to repair. You were smart to get the warranty, now don't
let it expire without an inspection.
Ø Even if you don't think you have any problems, you should have the inspection. Some problems may be visible
to the inspector but not yet causing you any trouble. You should not assume that a new home won't have problems. Some major
problems may not show up until after the ground freezes and thaws.
